Summary
Photograph of the interior of a long panelled room with tables/desks and benches down both sides and across the top end. Busts of men around walls between shuttered windows and three metal chandeliers hang from the ceiling. Two pairs of curtains are drawn back against the walls. c.1898 See also LAN.PH.1501.23 Contained in a red leather album with gold shield on front with motto 'Floreat Etona' and gold letters 'T.C.A.-R./1894-1899'.
Provenance
This photograph album belonged to the Hon. Tommy Agar-Robartes, later Captain the Hon. Tommy Agar-Robartes, M.P., 1880-1915, whilst he was at Eton and was a gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953.
