Summary
Formal photograph of seven young men standing with their arms linked, all wearing white tie, four with buttonholes. Trees and wall behind with benches to the sides. The Hon. Tommy Agar-Robartes, later Captain the Hon. Tommy Agar-Robartes, M.P., 1880-1915, is standing in the middle, with E.G. St. Aubyn on his right, Ludovic Heathcoat Amory stands second from left, and E.G. Martin third from right. W.H.P. Lewis stands on the far left. Contained in a red leather album with gold shield on front with motto 'Floreat Etona' and gold letters 'T.C.A.-R./1894-1899'. c.1898
Provenance
This photograph album belonged to the Hon. Tommy Agar-Robartes, later Captain the Hon. Tommy Agar-Robartes, M.P., 1880-1915, whilst he was at Eton and was a gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953.
