Summary
Studio photograph of a woman leaning/kneeling on a prie-dieu chair, her left elbow and right arm resting on its back. She wears gloves, a black ribbon choker and a dress with bustle and large lacy collar. There is a small circular carved table on the right of the photograph with a basket of flowers; behind isa patterned curtain on left with painted decorated wall behind. Contained in a dark green leather photograph album with embossed design on front and back, containing twenty four pages, forty eight sides, with slip-in sections and gold printed borders. c. 1865
Provenance
This album was a gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953.
