Photograph of part of a large five or six-storey painted building, the Hotel du Cap Martin, Menton, with bay windows and balconies, another single-storey building with striped awnings. Garden with shrubs, palms and cacti in foreground. Contained in a red leather photograph album with gold tooling on spine and front cover. c.1900
Provenance
A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, 1883-1966, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953, and continued to live there with his sisters, Everilda and Violet, until his death in 1966. The family stayed at the Hotel du Cap Martin in Menton in 1914 from the end of February until mid April.
