Summary
Photograph of view across a large bay with sea on left of the photograph with town and harbour on far side. Further buildings on wooded slopes leading to the sea with steep rocky hills in background and in forground on right of photograph. Rail track running parallel to the shore with road further inland. Contained in a red leather photograph album with gold tooling on spine and front cover. c.1895
Provenance
A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, 1883-1966, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953, and continued to live there with his sisters, Everilda and Violet, until his death in 1966. The family stayed at the Hotel du Cap Martin in Menton in 1914 from the end of February until mid April.
