Summary
Photograph of a view from hillside across the town of Nice to hills in distance. Wide tree lined street runs across the photograph with clock tower and clock showing time at 9.55 a.m. A large building visible above the town on the opposite hillside. Contained in a red leather photograph album with gold tooling on spine and front cover. c.1895
Provenance
A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, 1883-1966, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953, and continued to live there with his sisters, Everilda and Violet, until his death in 1966. The family stayed at the Hotel du Cap Martin in Menton in 1914 from the end of February until mid April.
