Summary
Studio photograph (half length) of a young woman, Alice, probably Alice Temlett who was daughter of the head nursemaid at Lanhydrock, Joanna Green Temlett, wearing high-necked dress holding an open fan in her right hand, her right elbow on back of a chair half-covered in fur rug, a potted plant on the right of the photograph. c.1890 See also LAN.PH.1505.17, taken on the same day.
Provenance
A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953.
