Photograph of a circular painting after Sir Joshua Reynolds, of the head and shoulders of man, Soame Jenyns Esq., with powdered hair tied back and wearing cravat and shirt with lace cuffs, his right hand to his face. The painting is balanced on a chair with attributation on frame. This portrait is in the Drawing Room Alcove at Lanhydrock. c.1950
Provenance
A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953, and remained living in the house until his death in 1966.
