Summary
Studio photograph of a bearded man, the Hon. Thomas Charles Agar-Robartes, later 6th Viscount Clifden, 1844-1930, and a young fair-haired girl, his eldest daughter, the Hon. Mary Vere Agar-Robartes, later the Hon. Mrs. Yarde-Buller, 1879-1946, both seated. The man wears a tweed jacket and spotted tie, the girl a high-necked dress with wide sash and lace collar and cuffs, a crucifix round her neck c.1886
Provenance
A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953, and remained living in the house until his death in 1966.
