An oval studio head and shoulders photograph of a woman, Hester Coad, nee Rogers, nursemaid at Lanhydrock in the 1880's and 1890's, wearing dark high necked dress and brooch with photograph of head and shoulders of moustached man in evening dress. On grey mount. Pair with 888108, LAN.PH.292, Marwood Coad, her husband.
Provenance
Possibly a gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953 and lived there until his death in 1966.
