Summary
Photograph of a formal group of twenty four men with a framed and illustrated address congratulating T.C.R. Agar-Robartes on reaching his majority from Bodmin Town Council, dated 9 January 1902. With seal. The Hon. Tommy Agar-Robartes, later Captain the Hon. Tommy Agar-Robartes, M.P., 1880-1915, stands on the right in the doorway of Lanhydrock House, his father, Viscount Clifden, on the left holding his hat in his left hand. The man on the extreme left has been erased on print. 1902. See also LAN.PH.218 This address now hangs in Tommy's Bedroom.
Provenance
A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953.
