Summary

Studio photograph of the Hon. Violet Agar-Robartes, 1888-1965, as a girl seated in arm chair. She has a clip in her hair which is partly loose on her shoulders, and she wears a pale dress with frilled hem. (The same dress as in LAN.PH.48 and 56) She holds an open book in her lap. c.1904 Tissue paper cover missing . See also LAN.PH.48 and LAN.PH.1717.

Provenance

A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953 and who continued to live in the house until his death in 1966.
