Summary
Ceremonial trowel with silver hallmarked blade and stem and a decorated ivory handle. Blade is ornately etched around an inscription: Presented to the Hon. T.C. Agar-Robartes M.P. on the occasion of laying the Memorial Stone at the U.M. Sunday School, St. Columb. Sept. 16. 1908. Trowel is incased in purpose made presentation box (LAN.L.280).
Provenance
A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953.
