Summary

Purple/brown leather purse with black frayed piece of material attached to reverse. Flap over front, inside cream leather lining with three compartments. Front compartment has a further flap opening to reveal another compartment. Inside this is a piece of paper inscribed 'Mary Dennis / born March 4 / died March 7. 1872' encasing a lock of human hair.
