Summary
Print, 'Armistice du 11 Novembre 1918' after R. de'Aigle. A framed and mounted print entitled 'Armistice du 11 Novembre 1918' from a water colour by R. de l'Aigle, showing two trains in a woodland setting, with soldiers in grey uniform on the right and one standing to attention, his rifle with bayonet on the left. Handwritten note on the back in English (now torn with German names missing) includes list of those British, French and German officials on the train. Identical to 887339 and with piece of paper, 883393.
Provenance
Found in the attic so possibly came to the National Trust in 1953.
