Summary
A photograph of a wide gently flowing river with buildings backing straight onto the river. These buildings are of two or three storeys, the nearest with steep sloping roof, mostly with connecting external wooden galleries and balconies overhanging the river. On the near side a man stands at the end of a series of connecting low, flat wooden jetties. Contained in an olive green Kodak photograph album containing family photographs, c.1898
Provenance
A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, 1883-1966, who gave the house to the National Trust in 1953 and continued to live there until his death.
