Summary
A photograph of a market square full of stalls/tables and umbrellas. At far end is an ornate church with bell tower, and beside it a large building with castellated roof top and towers at corners. Wagon/cart just visible on the right hand side. Piles of baskets beside stalls. Contained in an olive green Kodak photograph album containing family photographs, c.1898
Provenance
A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, 1883-1966, who gave the house to the National Trust in 1953 and continued to live there until his death.
