Summary
A photograph of a market square, the buildings with very steep roofs and at far end can be seen a bell tower of a church and in front of it a large building with name on front, possibly an hotel. The square is full of tables/stalls with umbrellas and piles of barrels and baskets. On the right is an open cart/wagon. Contained in an olive green Kodak photograph album containing family photographs, c.1898
Provenance
A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, 1883-1966, who gave the house to the National Trust in 1953 and continued to live there until his death.
