Summary
A photograph of the Royal Hotel, a three-storey building with paths and formal gardens on the right. Small flower bed with circular arangement with a lyre pattern in the centre. The hotel has its name in letters between the second and third storeys. It has a large balcony over an entrance at the nearest end, also three small balconies on the second floor. Smaller building attached to nearest end with a coverd way in front of it. Possibly a river or sea in distance. Contained in an olive green Kodak photograph album containing family photographs, c.1898
Provenance
A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, 1883-1966, who gave the house to the National Trust in 1953 and continued to live there until his death.
