Summary
A photograph taken from the deck of a pleasure boat moored alongside a jetty on a river. Two men working on deck, several small jetties beyond. The bank is raised up with a tree-lined road running along the top and a line of horse-drawn carriages on the road . Several buildings on the far side including one with domed tower , possibly an hotel. Hills faintly visible in the far distance, see also 886561.63. Contained in an olive green Kodak photograph album containing family photographs, c.1898
Provenance
A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, 1883-1966, who gave the house to the National Trust in 1953 and continued to live there until his death.
