Summary
A slightly blurred photograph of the Long Gallery at Lanhydrock from west to east, showing a very long room with vaulted decorative plasterwork ceiling, panelled walls with double rows of paintings and the room full of furniture, including two folding screens, and a carpet on the floor. In the foreground on the left and right of the photograph, partly visible, are two large vases which are now on display in the Morning Room. Contained in an olive green Kodak photograph album containing family photographs, c.1898
Provenance
A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, 1883-1966, who gave the house to the National Trust in 1953 and continued to live there until his death.
