Summary
A photograph of the Drawing Room at Lanhydrock from north to south, showing a long room with decorative plasterwork, panelled walls with paintings and a large pier glass at the far end. There is a folding screen and other pieces of furniture in the room together with large plants in pots and a patterned rug in foreground. Three women are sitting in chairs looking towards the camera. From left to right, the Hon. Mary Vere Agar-Robartes, later the Hon. Mrs. Yarde-Buller, 1879-1946, wearing a dark skirt and pale blouse, the Hon. Everilda Agar-Robartes, 1880-1969, (blurred) also wearing a dark skirt and pale blouse, and on the right is their mother, Mary Dickinson, later Viscountess Clifden, 1853-1921, wearing a dark skirt and dark blouse.Contained in an olive green Kodak photograph album containing family photographs, c.1898
Provenance
A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, 1883-1966, who gave the house to the National Trust in 1953 and continued to live there until his death.
