Summary
A photograph of the Hon. Alexander Agar-Robartes, 1895-1930, aged approximately three years old. Alexander is wearing a pleated tunic/dress with darker velvet cuffs and front panel and a white frilled collar. He is sitting on a low leather buttoned open arm chair, behind which is a buttoned leather sofa and heavily carved chest. Books are on shelves to the right of panelled door. Patterned carpet on the floor. Contained in an olive green Kodak photograph album containing family photographs, c.1898
Provenance
A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, 1883-1966, who gave the house to the National Trust in 1953 and continued to live there until his death.
