Summary
A photograph of three Eton schoolboys standing together in the street wearing white ties and tails, the two on the right wearing top hats and Ludovic Heathcoat Amory on the right with his hands in his pockets. The boy in the middle has his arms over the shoulders of the other two. Buildings on right and behind. c.1900 Contained in a faded black photograph album with the word 'Photographs' in gilt across front cover and each page containing a square cut out space for photograph.
Provenance
Given by the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, later 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953 and who continued to live in the house with his two sisters, Everilda and Violet, until his death in 1966. The Heathcote-Amory family home was at Knightshayes in Devon and L. Heathcote-Amory is to be seen in many family photographs including the meet held at Lanhydrock for the Hons. Tommy and Everilda Agar-Robartes 21st birthday.
