Summary
A photograph of four army officers standing together, two with backs to camera, one holding coat over his left arm; the one on the left facing camera and smiling is the Hon. Cecil Agar-Robartes, 1892-1939; the officer on the right looking at camera has pipe in his mouth. They stand in flat open ground with nissan huts behind and buildings just visible in sun beyond. . c.1918 Contained in a green photograph album with gilded picture of trees and windmill with word 'Photographs' beneath on front cover and each page containing cut out spaces for two photographs.
Provenance
Given by the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, later 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953 and who continued to live in the house with his two sisters, Everilda and Violet, until his death in 1966.
