Summary
Silver ceremonial trowel with ivory handle, presented to the Hon. Thomas C.R. Agar-Robartes when laying the memorial stone for the Bodmin Public Rooms in 1891. Inscribed: " Presented to the Honourable Thomas C.R. Agar-Robartes on the occasion of laying the Memorial Stone of the Bodmin Public Rooms. 31st August 1891."
Provenance
A gift from Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave the house to the National Trust in 1953 and continued to live at Lanhydrock with his sisters, Everilda and Violet, until his death in 1966.
