these knives, together with twelve cheese knives, were bought by Michael Trinick on behalf of the National Trust from Wm. Bruford and Son, Bedford Street, Exeter, for £140 less 10%. a letter from GMT in the Dining Room file, 8.2.1971, requests that the shine be taken off the knives to match the canteen used in the Dining Room.
