A stuffed deer foot, or slot, mounted on a wooden shield with inscription Q.S.H./FOUND IN MIDDLE HILL/KILLED AT STAPLE PLAIN/SEPT 24TH 1901. By 'Gardner of London': probably James Gardner Jnr. of London (fl.19th C-1917).
