Summary
Travelling medicine chest lined in red velvet, with brass fittings and flush handles containing twelve glass bottles (with two others missing), all labelled with the name of the chemist, R.A. Potts, 26 South Audley St., Grosvenor Square, seven of which have chamois leather covers; the bottom drawer, which is locked by a brass rod, contains glass pestle and mortar, measuring beaker, three glass bottles, two pipettes, two metal cases, a card box containing a box with seven dram weights, and seven keys. Key in lock. Wood?.
Provenance
Probably acquired with the house as Mary Hunt, Anna Maria's mother, lived at South Audley Street, Anna Maria next door in Dean Street and Thomas James and Thomas Charles had a house in Grosvenor Square. R.A. Potts, Chemists, was used by the family.
