Summary
A brass and cast iron fireplace with cast iron fire basket and integral ornate fireback, brass andirons with side pieces and brass surround. With it is a rectangular brass and glass smoke guard with attachments so can be hooked on to the brass fire surround.
Provenance
A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave the house to the National Trust in 1953 and continued to live there with his sisters, Everilda and Violet, until his death in 1966.
