One of three Merryweather leather fire buckets, all painted red and black with black line around bucket under rim; leather straps as handles. On metal hooks with plaque that reads MERRYWEATHER AND SONS/ENGINEERS' LONDON

Provenance

a gift from Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave the house to the National Trust in 1953 and continued to live there until his death in 1966.
