Summary
Leather 2-sided writing case, both sides with flap and brass fastening, with open pocket between; one side for ANSWERED correspondence and the other for UNANSWERED; with green cotton lining. The central pocket contains three military booklets, A field message book with square lined paper and 13 hand written pages on rules and regulations, another entitled War Establishments/of/2nd Mounted Division./(Territorial Force)/ D.D.2, 12th October, 1914 and a third booklet, Standing Orders/for the/2nd Mounted Division. (B548)600 10/14 H and S 1402 wo. Part of the contents of Captain The Hon. Thomas (Tommy) Agar-Robartes's dressing case (LAN.L.131) which was sent back from France after his death in 1915.
