Reddish-pink leather Asprey's vanity case with double opening and top leather handle; monogrammed EAR; with matching leather comb case (no comb), a leather wallet and a key in a pink bag with drawstring. Original contents include a silver and glass powder jar, LAN.S.109a; two silver and glass perfume bottles, LAN.S.109b and c; and a silver button hook, LAN.S.109d. Other items include a red case with glass perfume bottle, a mother-of-pearl seal, LAN.V.30; a dark tortoiseshell case LAN.V.31; a tortoiseshell hairpin, LAN.V.32; a gold dip pen, a wooden letter opener, a wooden menthol case and a button hook with painted handle.
Provenance
Belonged to the Hon. Everilda Agar-Robartes (Miss Eva) who lived in the house until she died in 1969.
