Black leather case with spring lid and top brass handle and LIGHT in gilt, containing removable tinder, the surrounding area painted blue. On front in gilt is written JENNERS AND NEWSTUB/ 33 ST JAMES ST; part of contents of stationery box, LAN.F.314.

Unknown, probably acquired with the house, the stationery box shown in a photograph of the Smoking Room taken by John Bethell in 1973.
