Tan leather case with letters C.A-R. on outside, interior lined with watered silk and has holding straps; five steel studs on base. Key missing but lock marked W/B.
Provenance
This case would have belonged to the Hon. Cecil Agar-Robartes who died in 1939 and was a gift from Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave the house to the National Trust in 1953 and continued to live there until his death in 1966.
