Summary
Black Morocco lap desk inscribed A.V.A-R., the leather very worn on the outside. Inside polished wood finish with separate pen tray, and black leather pockets and separate blotting case with four folded pieces of blotting paper. In very good condition. With brass carrying handle.
Provenance
This lap desk belonged to Victor Agar-Robartes, who became the 8th Viscount Clifden after the death of his brother, Gerald, in 1966. He never lived at Lanhydrock after that time, the house having been given by Gerald to the National Trust in 1953.
