Summary
The wardrobe from a set of bamboo and lacquer bedroom furniture, English, circa 1920. With a pierced arched pediment and lattice cornice above a mirrored door to the left side and a glazed door, open shelf and two small drawers to the right side over one long drawer below, on swept feet, the glass door comprising 16 green-tinged square panes and one central circular pane, the cupboard interior and open shelf lined with floral pattern embossed leather. The set also including a pair of chairs, two occasional tables, a dressing table with swing mirror, a washstand with tiled back and a fire screen, the lacquer panels apparently Japanese and decorated with flowers and foliage.
