Summary
A figured mahogany full size billiard table by Burroughs and Watts, English, circa 1890. With panelled frame and massive reeded bulbous legs, with ivorine label 'BURROUGHES AND WATTS LTD, STEEL BLOCK VACUUM CUSHION, SOHO SQ. LONDON'. The table has a crewel-work dust cover. The green cloth replaced in 1976, together with bag nets and pocket leathers, by Riley Burwat Ltd., Newport, Gwent.
Provenance
A gift of Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave the house to the National Trust in 1953.
