Summary
Portrait miniature, watercolour on ivory, The Hon. Charles Bagenal Agar (1769-1811) by British (English) School. c.1810. Oval. Head and shoulders portrait of a man, seated in a red chair, turned to the right, gazing at the spectator, wearing black coat with velvet waistcoat, white shirt and bow-tie. Light brown eyes, short fair hair, florid face, bruised look around the eyes, aged about 40. Greenish-brown curtain background. Painted in the manner of Richard Crosse.
