Photograph, Queen Mary (1867–1953) by Hay Wrightson (1874-1949) - Black and white three quarter length royal photograph of Queen Mary, seated, wearing square necked dark gown and holding a fan, an ermine cape/coat over chair. Signed and dated Mary R./1950. In metal frame. Photographer Hay Wrightson, London. Also listed under LAN.PH.5293 as all photographs have individual PH inventory numbers. (ex Billiard Room) Gelatin D.O.P. mounted on an off-white mount board. There is a plate mark on the mount around the photograph. There is a pencil caption at the top of the mount "Hay Wrightson" "London". The mount is signed "Mary R 1950" in ink in the lower border. The mount is printed in grey ink on the reverse "Hay Wrightson...". _ove paper behind the mount. The frame is silver with a varnished wooden backboard and hinged support held by silver pins. The backboard is lined with blue silk. SC 2003.
