Rectangular. Head and shoulders portrait of a young man, turned to the left, gazing at the spectator, in a blue coat with silver buttons, white waistcoat, high pointed collar, bow-tie and shirt frill. Brown eyes, pale complexion, dark brown curly hair and side-whiskers, aged between 20 and 25. Plain paper background.
