Summary
Photograph, Queen Mary (1867–1953) by William and Daniel Downey (fl.c.1860-early 1900s) (photographers). Black and white three-quarter length photograph of Queen Mary wearing tiara and pearls and holding a fan. Signed and dated 1928, the Royal coat of arms embossed on mount above the photograph. Photograph numbered LAN.PH.5000 as all photographs have individual PH numbers.
Provenance
Possibly given by the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, later 7th Viscount Clifden, 1883-1969, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953, as Queen Mary visited the house in 1928, the date on the photograph.
