Summary
Photogravure published 1st June 1895 by Messrs. Dickinson and Foster of Lord's on a Gentlemen versus Players day, showing cricketers and gentlemen talking in front of the stand or pavilion, many seated and some on the balcony. A flag flying from flagpole at far end. Together with a key of figures, see LAN.D.42. See also LAN.D.52 and LAN.D.53. The gilt frame has the monogram MCC in black on shield.
Provenance
Acquired on transfer of the house to the National Trust. These engravings and keys were mentioned in a 1969 leaflet for visitors to Lanhydrock.
