Summary
Wallpaper fragment. The piece is made up of small sheets of hand made paper stuck together before being printed with a mirror repeat pattern design.It has a green hand-painted ground with a black stencil pattern over-printed with white foliage. Georgian Excise stamp appears on the reverse with crown letters 'GR' and the letter 'J' which has mainly been found on papers produced around the 1760's

Possibly acquired by John Parker (1735-1788) by descent to Montagu Brownlow Parker (1878-1962,5th Earl of Morley and formed part of the Endowment to NT.
