Summary
(Folio 12, recto, upper print) St. Jerome in the desert. Clothed man with a beard reading books sitting in a wild landscape on top of a mountain with an hour glass beside him - a lion is shown coming through an archway in the rock on the right . Reverse print.
Provenance
At Saltram by 1771 and thence by descent to Montagu Brownlow Parker (1878-1962), 5th Earl of Morley and given to NT as part of the Endowment following transfer in 1957.
