Summary
Gilt metal, possibly a 19th century copy, toilet box of 17th century style, the sides and top are heavily embossed and chased with swags and leaves inside which, (within an oval reserve) is a monogram (MDCM) surmounted by ducal coronet.
Provenance
At Saltram by 1962 and given to NT by Montagu Brownlow Parker (1878-1962) as part of the endowment.
