Summary
An illumented address to the 3rd Earl of Morley from the inhabitants of Plympton, Devonport and Stonehouse dated June 12th 1889. To commemorate his election to Chairman of the committees of the House of Lords. Has the Parker and Plymouth Coat of Arms and a circular panel showing the Eddystone Lighthouse and ships. Contained in a carved oak frame mounted with heraldic motifs at the corners. Ink and watercolour on velum.
Provenance
At Saltram by 1899 and thence by descent to Monatgau Brownlow Parker (1878-1962), 5th Earl of Morley and given to NT as part of the endowment following the transfer in 1957.
