Summary

An illuminated address to the Hon. Montagu B. Parker from the tenants of the Saltram Estate on his return from war in South Africa in 1902. Vignette of Saltram House at the bottom. Many birds, bats etc. embossed on a decorative border. In a carved oak frame. Ink and watercolour on vellum. Please Note: the number SAL/R/8 is also designated to a map in the Book and Textile Room.

Provenance

At Saltram by 1902 and thence by descent to Montagu Brownlow Parker (1878-1962), 5th Earl of Morley and formed part of the endowment given to NT following the transfer in 1957.
