Summary

One of three mahogany chairs, English, circa 1835, each having a broad and curved toprail above a horizontal splat with lotus-carved ends. The seat drop-in, covered in horsehair and raised on a pair of turned and reeded front legs.

Provenance

Recorded on early National Trust index cards as 'purchased' by the National Trust at some date after 1957.
