Summary
A laminated beech frame 'Eva' occasional chair, Swedish, designed by Bruno Mathsson (1907-1988), circa 1930s, manufactured by Karl Mathsson, the shaped frame on four square-section legs, a stretcher between the two front legs and the two rear legs, with a brown sheepskin cover (later replacement). A paper label is applied to the underside of the right seat rail printed 'Designed by BRUNO MATHSSON'. The chair legs were painted at one point but have now been stripped and restored to their original finish. This chair is part of the same range as two chaise longues (NT 864326 and 864328) and a table (NT 864370) also in The Homewood.
